La Novena V. Hinin Empty
PostSubject: La Novena V. Hinin   La Novena V. Hinin I_icon_minitimeMon Nov 16, 2009 5:07 pm

Kozakura's soft, pink hair fell over her shoulder in waves; covering nearly her entire torso with its length. The locks scattered across her shoulders, the bangs pushed to the sides of her face; creating a sort of pink frame for her heart-shaped visage. Her sharp coral eyes scanned over the area that stood before her. She smiled without warmth or happiness, but more likely because she expected that was what others might do in that kind of situation. Her soft pink lips were pulled into the light arc that was her smile, not revealing the perfect. bleach-white pearls that lay behind them. Her skin was pale as the sand grains that remained on her dress, her eyes ringed with dark lines that were the result of expertly applied make-up. No one knew why she wore make-up in such a society, where one was judged by their strength instead of their appearance, but she did so anyway. Upon the slope of her right breast was a spiny, black, bold number ten tattoo. At her waist hung the other half of her soul. It was in the form of what seemed to be a hand-and-a-half sword, more commonly known as a bastard sword. The handle itself seemed to be carved from stone, the pommel taking the form of a skull, adorned with horns or spikes. The cross guard was the skull of a beast, its horns weaving outward like a goat's, curling around itself. She turned her body so that she would face the setting sun, her hair creating a wave of pink as it was thrown outward because of the spinning motion. When her hair rested back down upon her back and shoulders, she would stare into the distance in anticipation for her opponent.

She stood in a clearing within the dense, thick, jungle that filled the majority of the island she was standing upon. She had only arrived from the white sand desert two minutes ago, she hadn't even had time to map out the area before her fight would start. None-the-less, she expected the fight would go quickly and easily. The clearing- the most clichéd area for a battle in existence- was only about thirty meters or so in diameter. It was a cleaned out section of what seemed to be a tropical jungle, patted down by what appeared to be human feet, creating a flat circle of dirt for some ritual to occur. At the farthest end of the circle from where she stood, within the comforting shade of a tree, stood a pig's head stuck onto a length of wood that had been sharpened at either end, allowing it to stick into the earth and pierce the soft muscles of the dead pig. The smell of decay poured from the pig's head, covering the area in the filthy stench that Koza was all too comfortable with. The air was humid and hot, causing her dress to quickly become sticky with sweat. However, she would not let this affect her capability in combat at all, it didn't matter what the conditions were she would fight to her fullest. All around the clearing were palm trees and thick patches of grass that hid Horos knows what kinds of animals and insects. To be safe, she stayed clear of any plant that wasn't the tree she was standing beneath.

Many thoughts ran through Koza's head, they were always buzzing about without any real purpose or destination. Thoughts floated this way and that, without any relevance to her surroundings or logical pattern. She could never quite understand why she thought some of the things she did, they hardly ever made sense, nor were they even in languages she understood at times. More likely than not they were languages she knew as a human being, or just languages she was making up as she went along. However, she did grasp one train of thought that made a little bit of sense. She needed to end this battle quickly and with as little effort put forth as possible. She wasn't in Hueco Mundo or the Sereitei, she was on her own reiatsu-wise. Failing was not an option for Koza at the moment, she hadn't done enough in service of Horos to die just yet. Heathens would suffer, and since she knew for a fact that her opponent wasn't going to be an Arrancar, she also gathered that he did not believe in the true higher power.

Koza sensed that her opponent would arrive a little bit too close to soon. Not wanting to alert her opponent as to what race she hailed from, she released her reiatsu within a new form. Using her own ability to utilise the spiritual pressure of the deceased that she had consumed, she released the reiatsu of a plus soul. It was similar to a shinigami's mixed with a human's, something that would throw her opponent off and disorient him for at least six seconds. Those six seconds were crucial for the mind game she would play on him. If she could invade his head and crush him both mentally and emotionally, she wouldn't even have to draw her sword. Eating him when he is brought down to the lowest level of sanity would be like racing a cripple, it was far too easy and yet if one was as evil and malicious as Koza, just as satisfying.

He arrived in a worly like shunpo. His cloathing seemed to be what would have been a tuxeedo or a black suit if he hadn't untied the tie and unbuttoned the white shirt down to the third button. His jacket was held in his arm as if his forarm was a cradle. His eyes scanned the area to make sure that no one would see him just hovering in the air like a freak. He let out a chuckle he should have thought of that before he stood out in the open. His shoes clenched against nothing. They were black dress shoes with pointed toes. He landed softly on the dirt then sighed. Damnit. These shoes are freakin new. He shook his head and figured it didn't matter. His zanpaktou hung at his belt as if it were normal for people to hold blacked swords on their belt loops. He dusted himself off then felt the interesting raitsu. He could instantly tell someone was trying to make themselfs appear weaker than they really were but he didn't really know exactly how much stronger they were. He decided that would be his target. His black hair shown blue in the sun. It was scorching in this day. He guessed it had to be at least a hundred degrees out here. He then tossed his jacket into the air and aimed one finger in the direction of the raitsu and charged a small cero quickly, firing it off as if it were no challenge at all. It flew through the trees, destroying anything in it's way. It left a path so that he could see anything that it passed. He now saw his enemy. He looked her directly into the eyes and grinned. If the cero hit her it would do no more damage than a small burn on her chest.

It seemed her opponent would not be screwing around. So, as he launched his cero, Koza preformed a clever maneuver. The cero would hit something alright, but it wouldn't be her. Lying where she had once stood would be the ashes of her dress. Now standing far to the right of the area where the cero had crashed through the forest stood Koza in a completely different outfit. Unlike the formal dress that she enjoyed wearing, this outfit was practical and flexible. It was a simple outfit, a tight fitting dress made of white fabric, trimmed in black. It was reminiscent of the arrancar's uniform, except that it was in the form of what seemed to be a cocktail dress. The dress' skirt was cut down the length of the right side, causing it to open up as she stepped forward, revealing that it was a bit more easy to manoeuvre in than one would expect from first looking at the seemingly constricting skirt. The only thing that seemed to remain was the black sash that rested along her waist and held the demonic sword within it.

The area had now changed, but only a small amount. Now, there was no head of a pig, it had been burned to ash in the process of the cero's travelling. Running straight through the circular clearing was now a massive trench where the force of the cero had carved its mark into the earth, scarring it forever. There was also a clear line from the caster of the cero to the shore of the island at the other end of the jungle, where the trunks had either been burned away or torn from the ground and launched somewhere else. All around the circle were branches and ashes from both the trees and the dress that Koza had sacrificed.

Suddenly her thoughts were clear as crystal. It was as if a SWAT team had invaded her mind and broken up the massive riot of thoughts that were pounding her head and each other in an attempt to be heard. Now, one thought would appear. Then another, and then another. She grasped at these thoughts and connected them, forming a chain of thought. The chain of thought was a strategy, a way to beat her opponent easily and simply. However, it would not be very honorable to do what she was thinking. She would distract him, and destroy him with one fell swoop. While it disgusted her as to what she was about to do, it being not her style, she knew it was the easiest way to do it. It wasn't the lack of honor in what she was about to do, but instead that when it was done there wouldn't be enough of him to devour.

"Get ready to die, hybrid half-wit." She mumbled as she prepared to spring into action.

As she sped toward him in short bursts of sonido that tore through the air with a horrendous ripping noise, she charged two forms of energy, each into either hand. The first form of energy was small, condensed, and weak, while the second was stronger and quite a bit larger. As she burst from the cover of the trees that had masked her location from her opponent, she launched the first form of energy in the form of a balla directly toward his lower half, forcing him back or upward, or both. Then, she would disappear again, reappearing directly behind her opponent, with her legs level with his torso. Thrusting the other hand forward, she launched a cero point blank at the body, the two energies converging upon her opponent in a deadly combo that even an average level sonido couldn't save him from.

He almost laughed at this as he did the opposite of what should have been expected. He usually didn't do this because his instinct was to jump back but as the Balla came, he slide to the right and shunpo'd further away. He was now further down the beach almost out of eye sight. He was facing her and noticed her reapearing behind where he would have been and shooting a cero. That would have stopped the fight completely if he had been hit by it. He lifted one hand and aimed it at the girl and began charging a cero. At the same time with his other hand, he gripped the handle of his zanpaktou. He guess she didn't want a joyful chat so this would be fun. He unsheathed the sword and held it out infront of him. Looks like your strong, but please don't take me lightly. He now let the cero fly at her with full speed. It would be flying and flying wizzing through the air. If she was hit by it, it would possibly kill her if she didn't move. It was aimed at her neck. He didn't have the best of aim so it would have hit her in the side of the stomach. He now smiled and let the words slip out as if he were just having a casual conversation. Prevail Kelfoon. It forms to be a tri-blade. The blades turn blue and a black velvet ribbon appears around the hilt. A red dragon design apears on each of the blades.

The downfall of a cero is..." Came the voice of the Kozakura as she appeared behind him, watching the crimson light of the cero sear through the air before them. With a slight smile upon her face, she leaned in closer to finish her sentence with a deadly whisper. "That it takes far too long to charge." She finished, jumping back quite a distance before landing upon an invisible platform of reiatsu that supported her weight beneath her. She winked at the man and took up a sloppy fighting stance, as if she were mocking him by showing that she wasn't serious about this at all. Again, a mind trick that she used far too often; the sad part is that it worked nearly every time before this. She eyed the tri-blade before her, black and blue in color with red dragons nesting upon each blade. It looked more like a toothpick than a weapon to her, but she wasn't judging.

"You'll need more than a simple shikai to pierce my flesh, or get close to bruising me for that matter. Show me your Bankai why don't you?" She yawned, as if the triple-toothpick of a weapon didn't concern her in the least, which it really didn't. Her demeanour was strong, but even that was nothing compared to the strength she harboured deep within herself, and this hybrid wouldn't be the one to force her to reveal even a fraction of that strength. He would be lucky if she drew her blade once during their battle, of that she was completely and utterly sure.
